Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/QC inspections for ship repair, preservation, and coatings.
• Knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items and applicable contract requirements.
• Strong documentation and communication skills, with experience in inspection records and reports.
• Ability to read and interpret work specifications, drawings, and inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA inspections for ship repair activities including tank cleaning, preservation, and flushing.
• Conduct inspections per NAVSEA Standard Items, specs, and company procedures.
• Inspect surface prep, environmental conditions, coating application, cure, and DFT.
• Verify work meets technical requirements and manufacturer specs.
• Maintain inspection records, evidence, and QA documentation (OQE).
• Coordinate with Production, Project Management, and customers to complete inspections on time.
• Identify deficiencies, verify corrective actions, and ensure proper acceptance.
• Ensure calibration of inspection equipment and compliance with safety rules.
• Assist in customer and government inspections and quality audits.
