Job summary

HII Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a seasoned scheduler to plan, prepare, and control production schedules, coordinating materials and personnel to meet production requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with significant exempt experience or a Master’s with sufficient experience. Exposure to network scheduling is a plus, and the candidate will work within a large team to ensure on-time delivery of naval ship components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience, or Master’s Degree with 8 years’ relevant exempt experience.
• Equivalent qualifications listed in the ad may be used to meet minimum requirements.
• Exposure to network scheduling techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules aligning with material requirements to meet production needs.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activities with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering and inventory control; expedites parts as needed.
• Advises management on work status, material availability, and potential production issues to ensure resources are provided.

Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate

Associate's Degree or other 2-year program + 2 years relevant exempt

Military Paygrade E-5 or above

High School/GED + 4 years manufacturing/military
