Job description

As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you are passionate about outcomes and supporting a development and solution team that is modernizing and creating efficiency in critical projects. You know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get work done. We need an RTE like you to create solutions that will support the warfighter.

On our team, you will apply your functional knowledge to coach a development and solution team to focus on sprint goals, ensuring the project progresses successfully. You will apply scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems. Using tools like ServiceNow, you will strengthen sustainable process improvements to help our team accomplish Program Increment Objectives and Features. In this role, you will directly impact the Naval environment by working alongside our clients to deliver impactful capabilities and solutions. You’ll apply your extensive technical expertise to drive innovative solutions to problems. This is an opportunity to grow your experience in information technology (IT) and Agile project management, developing and contributing to a variety of project solutions that will ensure success for the delivery of services in support of the warfighter. You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in DoD engineering and science management, operations research analysis, or financial and cost analysis
  • Experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) serving multiple teams and providing tasking and prioritization
  • Experience with SAFe, Kanban, or Lean-Agile processes and methodologies along with Agile software project management tools, including ServiceNow
  • Experience as a Scrum Master, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-ups or team syncs, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and Program Increment (PI) planning
  • Ability to facilitate and coach a team to better outcomes using process improvement techniques
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification
  • SAFe Program Consultant Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS / SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800 to $198,000 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
