Job summary

Noblis MSD is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support NAVSEA/NSWCPD ship programs, focusing on oil pollution abatement in wastewater systems. You will design, evaluate, test and operate mechanical equipment for military and scientific use, creating drawings and calculations.

This on‑call, part‑time role requires a BS in Mechanical/Marine/Electrical Eng and 5 years of relevant experience, plus DoD SECRET clearance or ability to obtain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Marine/Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD security clearance at SECRET level or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with equipment design principles and manufacturability reviews.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical designs and drawings for Navy ship systems
• Write precise calculations and perform prototype testing
• Perform obsolescence evaluation and source replacements
• Prepare leadership reports and documentation
• Support logistics and integration for hardware installations
