Job summary

Serco Inc. in the National Capital Region nationwide is seeking a skilled Material Management and Logistics professional to support Navy amphibious platforms.

The role focuses on material requirements planning, delivery scheduling, and coordination with NAVSUP and shipyards to sustain readiness. You will track spares, LLTM, and GFM, ensure real-time material visibility, and support availability planning with material kits and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Must have ability to obtain/maintain/transfer an active DoW Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Or Associate’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Or High-School Diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years of Navy/DoD material management/logistics experience.
  • Working knowledge of Navy logistics systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze work packages, alteration packages, BOATALTs, ECPs, CASREPs, and PM System requirements to develop material requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Track and manage critical spares, LLTM, and Government Furnished Material from requisition to receipt and installation.
  • Coordinate with NAVSUP, DLA, ISEAs, SUPSHIP, shipyards, HII, AITs, and ship Supply Depts to resolve shortages and obsolescence issues.
  • Maintain real-time visibility of material on order and in transit using Navy logistics systems and tracking tools.
  • Prepare material kits, monitor delivery performance, and escalate material risks threatening critical path events.
  • Produce material readiness metrics and provide inputs to readiness briefings and reports.
  • Ensure material supports current ship configurations and aligns with configuration management and change control processes.
  • Perform other logistics tasks in support of PMS 321 modernization and maintenance.
