Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Material Manager for Navy amphibious platforms to manage material requirements, tracking spares, and delivery schedules in a hybrid National Capital Region role. You will coordinate with NAVSUP, DLA, shipyards, and government counterparts to ensure availability and readiness for PMS 321 modernization.

You will analyze maintenance packages, lead typing and reporting on material status, and support availability planning while traveling up to 10% of the time. U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoW Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Associate’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience; or High-School Diploma/GED and 9 years of relevant experience.
• 5 years of Navy/DoD material management, logistics, or supply support, preferably with surface ships or amphibious platforms.
• Working knowledge of Navy logistics systems and processes (e.g., R-Supply, N-ERP, OneTouch, WebFLIS, DLA processes, CASREP, Planned Maintenance System).
• Experience supporting ship capabilities, modernizations, or AIT efforts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to brief material status to technical and senior leadership audiences.
• The ability to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Analyze work packages, alteration packages, BOATALTs, ECPs, CASREPs, and PM System requirements to develop material schedules.
• Track and manage status of spares, LLTM, and GFM from requisition through receipt and installation.
• Coordinate with NAVSUP, DLA, ISEAs, SUPSHIP, shipyards, HII, AITs, and ship Supply Departments to resolve shortages and obsolescence.
• Maintain real-time visibility of material on order, in transit, in storage, and staged for waterfront or shipboard use using Navy systems.
• Prepare material kits, monitor delivery performance, and escalate material risks threatening critical path events.
• Produce material readiness metrics and provide inputs to readiness briefings and POA&Ms.
• Ensure material supports current ship configuration and aligns with CM/change control processes.
• Perform other logistics tasks in support of PMS 321 modernization and maintenance goals.
