Job summary
A leading defense contractor is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in Arlington, VA, supporting naval engineering projects. You will develop electrical systems and evaluate designs for high-performance maritime systems while mentoring junior engineers. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Opportunities for travel are included in this role.
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of ABS SVR, IEEE 45, NFPA, and MIL specifications is required.
Experience in electric propulsion systems or machinery control systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
Develop power/control system hardware and software drawings and specifications.
Evaluate designs of shipboard machinery control and monitoring systems.
Travel onboard naval ships to support installation or troubleshooting of Power Systems.
