Job summary

INDUS Technology, Inc. in San Diego, CA, seeks a Mechanical Technician / Machinist to support SURTASS-E and NAVAL systems.

You will machine, fabricate, repair, and assemble components, operate CNC mills and lathes, interpret drawings, and work with CAD/CAM tools under engineering guidance. Qualified applicants must have an active secret clearance, an associate’s degree, four years in machining or related fields, and two years with CAD/CAM/3D printing.

Qualifications

• Active secret clearance required.
• Associate's degree from an accredited university.
• Four years of machining, fabrication, mechanical repair, or related experience.
• Two years CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, drafting, or 3D printing experience.
• Two years welding, brazing, or metal repair experience.
• Four years using precision measuring equipment and dimensional inspection.

Responsibilities

• Machining, fabrication, repair, and support of equipment and fixtures.
• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other shop equipment.
• Plan machining work from blueprints and drawings.
• Verify dimensions with precision measuring tools and ensure conformance to specs.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Perform maintenance and prepare parts for assembly.
