Job summary

PCI Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator for a traveling role based in San Diego, CA, with 50%–75% travel to Navy CANES sites. Hybrid work status applies; must reside within 50 miles of Fleet Conservation location. Competitive benefit package and security clearance required.

The role involves deploying software, maintaining systems, and coordinating with ship personnel across CANES deployments. A Secret clearance is required, with Top Secret preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a Secret Level Security Clearance; Top Secret preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with shipboard CANES or legacy afloat networks.
• Navy Information Systems Technician or Data Systems Technician experience is a significant plus.
• IAM-II Level Certification (Security+ or substitutes per DoD 8570.01-M).
• Experience in software engineering activities; knowledge of design and database management systems.
• Experience with Microsoft development tools, analysis, maintenance and testing.
• Ability to travel frequently and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, update, troubleshoot, monitor, optimize and maintain systems/servers.
• Install and maintain application software per established standards.
• Verify functional operation of HICS per SOVT.
• Test hardware/software and manage data backups/restoration.
• Document procedures and ensure compliance with Navy processes and QMS.
• Coordinate with ship personnel and points of contact for CANES deployments.
• Maintain knowledge management apps (SharePoint, Dimensions).
• Plan and execute data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
• Ensure OSHA and environmental standards compliance.
