Job summary

Q.E.D. Systems is seeking a Warehousing and Logistics Specialist to support a U.S. Navy contract at the Carrier Unique Equipment Staging Facility in Norfolk, VA.

You will maintain inventory, prepare monthly material status reports, and handle receiving/issuing material, with occasional forklift operations. Required are 3+ years in carrier equipment logistics, 6+ years researching material IDs and NSNs, and experience maintaining orderly inventory and documentation. U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ logistics for carrier equipment.
• Fluent in Microsoft products.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience researching material IDs, NSN and APLs.
• Experience maintaining an orderly locating system for inventory and issue.
• Experience liaising with Naval Inactive Ships.
• Experience arranging procurements and shipments to DoD activities.
• Experience expediting material movement and maintaining records.
• Experience transferring unusable equipment and DD forms.
• Experience procurement/shipping documents.
• Experience monitoring incoming shipments and reporting delays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory information and monthly status reports.
• Receive/issue material and manage storage, including forklift operations.
• Support carrier equipment staging for Navy contracts.
• Coordinate shipments to ships and DoD activities.
• Maintain liaison with naval facilities and Fleet Support teams.
