Q.E.D. Systems, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Material Specialist to support Navy shipboard habitability and SFWP work packages on the West Coast.

The role requires at least 8 years of logistics experience, familiarity with the Navy Supply System, and strong warehouse operations knowledge. Travel may be required, and eligibility for a Secret clearance is essential. In addition to technical proficiency, candidates must demonstrate solid communication skills and the ability to interface with

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Navy logistics or shipboard supply
• Strong working knowledge of Navy Supply System and warehouse operations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical research using OTS, FEDMALL and HAYSTACK
• Prepare and submit SFWP Requisitions, GPC purchases and Open Purchases using PROTRACK
• Synchronize SLIMP databases across multiple warehouse locations
• Provide user support and training for the SLIMP program
• Expedite shipments, conduct material validations and follow up on long lead time materials
• Interface with ship's project coordinator when processing GFMs
• Perform admin and logistical duties using Microsoft Office tools
• Travel domestically and overseas as required

Salary Range: $25 - $28 / Hour

Job Description:

Q.E.D. Systems, Inc. is presently seeking a Logistic Specialist to support Commander Naval Air Force Pacific Shipboard Habitability and Ship Force Work Package Program (SFWP) for West Coast aircraft carriers. The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience, with strong working knowledge of Navy Supply System and warehouse operations.

Job Requirements/skill sets:

• Conduct technical research using One Touch Support (OTS), FEDMALL and HAYSTACK
• Prepare and submit SFWP Requisitions, Government Purchase Card (GPC) purchases and Open Purchases utilizing NAVSUP Procurement Tracker (PROTRACK)
• Synchronize and perform periodic Supply Logistics Integrated Maintenance Program (SLIMP) application database across multiple warehouse locations
• Provide user support, training, and technical guidance for the SLIMP program
• Conduct material validations, expedite shipments, submit Supply Assistance Request (SAR) and follow-up status on long lead time materials
• Interface with ship's project coordinator when processing Government Furnish Materials (GFMs)
• Perform administrative and logistical duties using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Access)
• US Naval Stock Control (S-1) work experience is a plus
• Familiarity with shipboard logistics and material management systems
• Travel may be required domestic and overseas
• Must demonstrate good oral and written communication

Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access:

U.S. citizenship is required. Must be eligible for and be able to maintain a Secret Clearance. Be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards
