Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an Engineering Program Manager for Naval Gas Turbine (GT) packages in Indianapolis, IN. You will plan and deliver projects spanning design, fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance and commissioning of GT-powered generator sets for marine applications.

You will lead a cross-functional team, manage schedules and budgets, and serve as technical customer contact for contracts within the Naval Gas Turbine portfolio. Domestic/international travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with 5+ years of experience OR
• Master`s degree in Engineering or Technology with 3+ years of experience OR
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for Security Clearance is required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Customers, Design Engineers, Program Controllers, Program Managers, Resource Managers, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to deliver project schedules, resource estimates, clear definition of deliverables, and adherence to the plan and budget.
• Attend and participate in meetings to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain knowledge of new developments, requirements and policies.
• Analyze sketches, specifications and data to determine design factors; engage in configuration management and change control of components and systems.
• Compile and analyze test data to determine effects on equipment design, considering temperature, pressures, speed, power and fuel consumption; oversee testing of gas turbine power generation modules, mechanical drive packages, and control system components.
• Manage processes for work packages including PCB, safety management, risk management, cost management, and internal/external program reviews.
• Travel as required to support supervision of genset operations
