Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an experienced project engineer to ensure major Fleet Power Plant programs are planned, budgeted, and executed effectively. You will coordinate with the power plant technical community, Financial Services, Procurement, Naval Reactors and shipyards to align funding and engineering needs.

Responsibilities include supporting cost estimates, overseeing shipyard work, managing budgets and databases, and coordinating cross-organizational assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, science, or construction field (or Master’s).
• Experience analyzing large datasets in Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support cost estimate and schedule development for major Naval projects.
• Provide programmatic oversight of work performed at the shipyard.
• Manage budget and portfolio databases of shipyard work.
• Support multi-organizational assessments of major project work.
