Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME, seeks an Engineering Technician to serve in the Engineering and Planning Department (C292). The role focuses on developing and evaluating technical work documents, repair procedures, and engineering support packages for ship overhaul projects.

You will identify inconsistencies, coordinate with engineers and planners, and perform detailed analyses of system conditions and maintenance discrepancies to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Experience directing, planning, installation, and testing of ship equipment and systems.
• Experience preparing and reviewing job summaries and instruments.
• Experience administering Deficiency Logs (DLs), Deficiency Reports (DRs), technical reports, estimates, status reports, instructions and procedures.
• Experience negotiating projects with managers and ship force to gain approval and testing authority.

Responsabilités

• Develop and evaluate engineering work documents, repair procedures, and support packages.
• Identify inconsistencies and coordinate with engineers and planners to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform detailed analysis of system conditions, production problems, and maintenance discrepancies.
