Job summary

ORBIS Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician (Hull) to support overhaul and repair of equipment and systems on U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers (CVN) and surface ships. Work is performed on board US Naval vessels in San Diego, CA.

The role focuses on finding, fixing and training Ship's Force operators and maintenance technicians to enable maintenance during deployments, with emphasis on preventive and corrective maintenance and adherence to Navy standards.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion hull, mechanical, or electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or other mechanical technical data related to naval hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
• Two (2) years experience in a team leader or supervisor of subordinate work groups.

Responsibilities

• Support overhaul and repair of equipment and systems for US Navy Aircraft Carriers (CVN) and surface ships.
• Perform on-board maintenance on US Naval vessels located in San Diego, CA.
• Find, fix, and train Ship's Force equipment operators and maintenance technicians to enable deployment-time maintenance.
• Provide preventive and equipment maintenance training to Navy fleets.
