Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Mid Naval Engineer to support the USV program from concept to completion. You will assist the Technical Director by reviewing vendor submissions, tracking progress through ABS classifications, and turning data into concise summaries for leadership.

You will communicate across teams, prepare technical documentation, and occasionally engage with shipyards as the main point of contact for status reporting. A secret clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Naval Architecture or Engineering on ocean going vessel design or construction.
• 3+ years translating complex technical information into summaries a non-technical senior leader can comprehend
• 3+ years of experience with using Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Review vendor submissions (drawings, calculations, specifications) to verify compliance with top-level requirements.
• Assist in tracking vendor progress through ABS classification process and synthesize data into concise technical summaries for senior leadership.
• Engage with shipyards as needed to report status to government and support program management.

The Opportunity:

As an integral member of the team, you will be tasked with supporting the Technical Director (TD) in charge of a future Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) program. As a junior engineer, you will aid the TD through reviews of vendor submitted information such as drawings, calculations, and specifications to verify they are meeting established top‑level requirements, tracking vendor progress through the ABS classification process, and synthesizing vendor data into concise technical summaries for senior program leadership. There will be opportunities to be vendor facing at shipyards as the technical directors main point of contact to report various status back to the government.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience in the Naval Architecture or Engineering field working on ocean going vessel design or construction
• 3+ years of experience translating complex technical information into summaries a non‑technical senior leader can comprehend
• 3+ years of experience with using Microsoft Products such as Project, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Naval Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
