Job summary

Delphinus Engineering, Inc. in Norfolk, VA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support US Navy tasking. The role covers design, development, testing and lifecycle support of shipboard HM&E systems for NSWCPD, with teamwork across disciplines and Navy personnel.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in engineering, with strong electronics design and familiarity with ISO/CMMI, JIRA/Confluence, and AutoCAD; travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of engineering experience.
Experience with shipboard electrical systems or Navy programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with NSWCPD and ships’ teams to aid program execution.
Support lifecycle maintenance and upgrade strategies for battery systems on Navy ships.
Advise on system architecture, design and development strategies.
Create and review requirements and design specs for shipboard HM&E systems.
Develop and execute test plans; assist validation and verification tests.
Troubleshoot and test electrical and shipboard equipment; write manuals and training materials.
Prepare operating and malfunction reports; contribute to QA testing of assemblies.
