Job summary

ICI Services in Mobile, AL seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the PMS 300 Program Office. You will work with government stakeholders and shipyards on electrical design, system integration, and requirements development for Navy shipbuilding initiatives.

Responsibilities include developing electrical diagrams, protection analyses, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize hull design and system performance while ensuring compliance with ABS and IEEE standards.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience supporting DoD, Navy, or federal government programs.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles, requirements management, and technical documentation development.
  • Experience with acquisition, sustainment, modernization, or integration of military systems.
  • Experience with CAD software and shipyard collaboration.
  • FMEA experience including ABS DPS/R2 notation.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, design, integration, and production level engineering of ship design products.
  • Provide expertise in electrical design for integrated plant designs (medium voltage AC, electrical propulsion).
  • Develop one-line diagrams, protection analyses, arc flash, subtransients, system harmonics, switchboard and breaker design, power management, safety and control features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize hull weights in ship design.
  • Analyze operational requirements and develop technical solutions for mission needs.
  • Develop and review engineering documentation, reports, and system specifications.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, program offices, shipyards, and technical teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and system assessments.
