THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Data Scientist (Navy) to support the SWRMC HM&E FTA contract in San Diego, CA. You will manage a waterfront team delivering direct engineering and technical support to the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet, helping keep shipboard systems reliable and mission-ready.

This position is contingent upon award anticipated February 2027. Responsibilities include data mining, modeling, and visualization to improve performance and sustainment, along with developing

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field such as operations research, data science, or statistics.
• At least seven years of experience applying statistical analysis, data mining, and ML.
• Experience extracting and analyzing information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Strong communication and data visualization skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data to build and enhance products, processes, and systems.
• Conduct data mining and retrieval, and apply statistical and mathematical analyses to identify trends and optimize performance.
• Apply programming, statistics, and visualization to glean insights from large data sources.
• Conduct trade studies and data quality assessments for design space exploration.
• Provide recommendations for data use, including development of standards and in‑life assessments.
