Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking an experienced cost estimator to determine labor and material costs for manufacturing and engineering from RFP data.

The role analyzes specifications, bills of material, and pricing data to build accurate cost models and reports for leadership and customers. Requires a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of exempt experience or a Master’s with 8+ years, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of exempt experience or Master’s with 8+ years of exempt experience.
• NNS Apprentice School and NNPS graduates considered.
• Military or shipbuilding experience favorable.

Responsibilities

• Estimate labor and material costs from RFP data and historical data.
• Create cost models and maintain historical cost data.
• Prepare cost reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
