Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Cost Analyst, MID, to uncover stories behind the numbers and drive smarter decisions for Navy programs. You will analyze cost estimation, financial modeling, and program assessment, building data-driven strategies with statistical methods and What-if scenarios.

Responsibilities include evaluating data, developing analytical approaches, and delivering actionable insights to support cost estimation and lifecycle cost analysis.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with cost estimating, cost analysis, or financial analysis.
• Experience with data collection and cost model development.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with the application of core competencies, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs) and inflation or escalation.
• Experience with analysis and estimates supporting government procurement and acquisition processes.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate data and develop analytical approaches to support cost estimation, financial modeling, and program assessment.
• Identify root causes through data analysis to inform actionable recommendations.
• Support Navy acquisitions through data-driven cost analysis and scenario modeling.
• Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
