Job summary

MANTECH seeks an Engineering Technician for an onsite role in Virginia Beach, VA. You will create, modify, and maintain detailed 2D/3D drawings of naval vessels and marine systems using AutoCAD/SolidWorks, while ensuring compliance with Navy specs and ABS rules.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Drafting or related field with 6+ years of experience, or 10+ years without a degree.
• 5+ years in maritime/naval/defense contracting environments.
• Experience with CAD/3D modeling packages (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain detailed 2D/3D drawings and layouts for naval vessels and marine systems.
• Review drawings for Navy/ABS/commercial standards; manage revisions and data trees.
• Provide program/engineering administration including reports, schedules, and deliverables.
• Gather, organize, and format technical documentation and logistics data.
• Serve as central hub between on-site engineers, NAVSEA, and contractors.
• May travel up to 25% for site visits to Chesapeake, VA and elsewhere.
