Job summary

Core Group Resources seeks a Designer 3 to join our team in Pascagoula, MS, focusing on designing components and system segments, and modifying designs to boost product performance and manufacturability.

The role requires advancing CAD-driven concepts, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and planning teams, and ensuring submittals meet project standards. Occasional travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical degree in a related discipline.
• 6+ years design and shipbuilding experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2018 2D Design.

Responsibilities

• Design components or system segments meeting project specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Modify existing designs to improve product performance and production efficiency.
• Create detailed layouts and proposals using CAD tools (CAD, CAM, CATIA).
• Gather information, conduct studies, perform calculations, and prepare initial rough layouts for design proposals.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning teams to meet criteria.
• Ensure submittals are prepared on company letterhead and reference Req #46889 CL, submitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
