Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Software Engineer/Developer to support the NAVAIR Stingray MQ-25A program. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver software solutions for naval aviation and defense operations.

The role emphasizes technical oversight, system integration, and formal qualification testing, with travel to contractor facilities as needed. Candidates must hold an active DoD Secret clearance and be a U.S. citizen.

Qualifications

Active DoW Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Technical 4-year degree with 1+ years of experience.
Experience in software engineering/development of software systems.
Experience in software requirements allocation, design, software process management, open architecture principles, software integration and test.
Knowledge of military avionics systems and related design attributes.
Knowledge of systems engineering procedures for Avionics and Weapons systems.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for the PMA-268 Stingray MQ-25A program and oversee software development, integration, and FQT.
Act as technical interface between NAVAIR, prime contractors, and government activities.
Review vendor deliverables for compliance with requirements and airworthiness standards.
Provide technical oversight into PI priority workloads and evaluate proposed process/SDP changes.
Serve as Government witness and QA representation for FQT and verify test procedures.
