Job summary

Requirements include courses in Early Childhood Education or 2 years of experience with toddlers/preschoolers, a strong work ethic, and knowledge of CT ELDS/NAEYC. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and participate in ongoing professional development and outdoor learning.

Qualifications

• Courses in Early Childhood Education and/or 2 years of experience with toddlers/preschoolers
• Passion and commitment to make a positive difference in young children and families
• Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a desire to learn
• Working knowledge of CT Statutes/Regulations, NAEYC criteria, and the CT ELDS
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team
• Physically able to bend, squat, lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Plan with the teaching team and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Supervise students and maintain a healthy, safe learning environment
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher to ensure a well-run classroom
• Spend time outdoors daily as part of Earthplace programming
• Contribute to professional growth and development
• Support families and maintain positive relationships
