Job summary

Earthplace Preschool in Westport, CT is hiring a full-time assistant teacher for a toddler classroom with a 10am–6pm closing shift. The role shares responsibility with the lead teacher for planning, implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, supervising children, and maintaining a healthy, safe learning environment.

Requirements include ECE coursework or 2 years’ experience with toddlers/preschoolers, and a commitment to positive learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• ECE courses or 2+ years working with toddlers/preschoolers.
• Passion to positively impact young children and families.
• Hardworking, reliable and eager to learn.
• Knowledge of CT statutes, NAEYC criteria, and CT ELDS.

Responsibilities

• Plan with the teaching team and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Supervise an assigned group of children and maintain a healthy, safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with lead teacher to support children’s growth and learning.
