Natural Resources Project Manager

Your Day-to-Day:
- Project Management & Delivery: Manage natural resources projects from proposal development through execution, including scopes, schedules, budgets, and client communication to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Regulatory Coordination & Permitting: Coordinate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to evaluate jurisdictional waters, support environmental permitting efforts, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Field Investigations & Assessments: Conduct and oversee wetland delineations, stream determinations, mitigation support, ecological assessments, and protected species surveys as needed.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Work alongside and mentor technical staff, ensuring safety, quality standards, and operational objectives are met while coordinating with other service lines to support project needs.
- Client & Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, provide regular project updates, and represent the company in professional and community settings to support business development and visibility.
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Biological or Environmental Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- 5+ years’ experience that includes at least 3 years of experience with wetland delineations, stream determinations, environmental permitting, mitigation, protected species surveys, and ecological surveys, and previous experience in the southeast U.S.
- Demonstrated successful team leadership and management at a project level with a good understanding of safety policies/procedures, quality, business metrics, human resources policies/procedures, and risk management concepts.
- GIS experience and/or knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for clients, staff, and regulatory personnel.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment.
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions, outside of normal business hours when necessary.
- Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially long periods.
- Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment).
