Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Texas with offices in Dallas, Houston, Celina, Tyler, Austin or San Antonio.

You will lead natural resource planning, assessments, and permitting for land development and infrastructure projects, while managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships. A strong background in environmental science and permitting is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology or Planning.
• Master's degree preferred in Environmental Science, Ecology or Planning.
• 10+ years of work experience in natural resources, planning and permitting.
• Extensive experience with local, state and federal land use permitting.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, projects and budgets.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead natural resource planning, assessment and permitting for land development and infrastructure projects.
• Lead preparation of environmental assessments, impact statements, planning assessments and permit applications.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets and schedules; monitor timelines and minimize write-offs.
• Prepare draft invoices and assist in payment collections.
• Supervise and mentor staff; participate in project management training.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the natural resource planning, assessment and natural resource permitting of land development and infrastructure projects
• Lead the preparation and modification of environmental assessments, impact statements, planning assessments and permit application documents
• Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitor budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Minimize write-offs by keeping projects on budget
• Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections
• Demonstrate competency in areas of supervision and project management and participates in internal and external project management training
• Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning
• Master's degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning preferred
• 10+ years of work related experience in the field of natural resources, planning and permitting
• Extensive experience with local, state and federal land use permitting
• Ability to effectively manage multiple clients, projects and budgets
• Ability to effectively manage and coach staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to occasionally work during evenings and/or weekends as projects require
• Occasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required
• Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing
