Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services seeks a Senior Project Manager to join its Texas offices (Dallas, Houston, Celina, Tyler, Austin or San Antonio) and lead natural resource planning, permitting, and project delivery for land development and infrastructure programs.

You will manage budgets, schedules, client relationships, and cross-team collaboration while mentoring staff and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or Planning.
  • Master's degree preferred in related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in natural resources, planning, and permitting.
  • Extensive experience with local, state, and federal land use permitting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and budgets.
  • Ability to lead and coach staff.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead natural resource planning, assessment, and permitting for land development projects.
  • Prepare environmental assessments, impact statements, and permit documents.
  • Manage multiple projects within budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Prepare invoices and assist in collections.
  • Mentor staff and participate in PM training.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Texas in offices Dallas, Houston, Celina, Tyler, Austin or San Antonio.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the natural resource planning, assessment and natural resource permitting of land development and infrastructure projects
  • Lead the preparation and modification of environmental assessments, impact statements, planning assessments and permit application documents
  • Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitor budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Minimize write-offs by keeping projects on budget
  • Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections
  • Demonstrate competency in areas of supervision and project management and participates in internal and external project management training
  • Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning preferred
  • 10+ years of work related experience in the field of natural resources, planning and permitting
  • Extensive experience with local, state and federal land use permitting
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple clients, projects and budgets
  • Ability to effectively manage and coach staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to occasionally work during evenings and/or weekends as projects require
  • Occasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required
  • Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing
