Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Texas team in Dallas, Houston, Celina, Tyler, Austin or San Antonio. You will lead natural resource planning, permitting, and environmental assessments for large-scale land development and infrastructure projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning with 10+ years in natural resources and land use permitting; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning.
• Master's degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in natural resources, planning and permitting.
• Extensive experience with local, state and federal land use permitting.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, projects and budgets.
• Ability to lead and coach staff and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the natural resource planning, assessment and natural resource permitting of land development and infrastructure projects.
• Lead the preparation and modification of environmental assessments, impact statements, planning assessments and permit application documents.
• Manage multiple projects and tasks within budgets, schedules and deadlines; monitor budgets and timelines.
• Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections.
• Demonstrate competency in supervision and project management and participate in training.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the natural resource planning, assessment and natural resource permitting of land development and infrastructure projects
• Lead the preparation and modification of environmental assessments, impact statements, planning assessments and permit application documents
• Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitor budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Minimize write-offs by keeping projects on budget
• Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections
• Demonstrate competency in areas of supervision and project management and participates in internal and external project management training
• Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning
• Master's degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning preferred
• 10+ years of work related experience in the field of natural resources, planning and permitting
• Extensive experience with local, state and federal land use permitting
• Ability to effectively manage multiple clients, projects and budgets
• Ability to effectively manage and coach staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to occasionally work during evenings and/or weekends as projects require
• Occasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required
• Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing
