Job summary

Naples Botanical Garden in Florida seeks a Natural Resources Associate to support management of on-site natural and constructed habitats. You will help maintain trails, manage invasive species, and assist with prescribed fire and environmental data collection.

Working under the Natural Resources Manager, you will train and support volunteers and visiting researchers, ensure equipment is properly cleaned and stored, and contribute to conservation projects across on-site and off-site areas.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in natural resources or related field.
• Willingness to obtain Florida Pesticide Applicator license and other certifications.
• Experience with power tools and machinery preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot, humid conditions and outdoors regularly.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of natural areas, stormwater gardens, and conservation sites.
• Support training and outreach on plant conservation and habitat management.
• Collect and manage environmental data to inform resource management.
• Provide direction to volunteers and assist visiting researchers.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly.
