Job summary

Naples Botanical Garden in Naples, FL is seeking a Natural Resources Associate to support on-site natural and created ecosystems. You will participate in daily management of natural areas, stormwater gardens, and off-site conservation areas, performing landscaping, trail maintenance, and gear upkeep.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in natural resources, willingness to obtain Florida licenses, and enjoy outdoor work in hot, humid conditions, with strong communication and data collection skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in natural resources, conservation, ecological restoration, land management, environmental science, or related field preferred.
• Willingness to obtain Florida Pesticide Applicator licenses and related certifications.
• Basic computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities in Garden natural areas, stormwater gardens, and conservation areas.
• Perform landscaping, trail maintenance, and equipment upkeep.
• Support training and outreach on plant conservation and resource management.
• Assist with data collection toward science-informed natural resource practices.
