Job summary

Ohio Department of Natural Resources is seeking a Natural Resources Dispatcher 1 to support the Division of Law Enforcement in Franklin County, Ohio. You will learn to operate the statewide CAD console, MARCS radio system, and LEADS data network to facilitate law enforcement communications.

The role requires handling emergency information, directing inquiries, and dispatching ODNR personnel. Training is provided for new hires, with opportunities for growth to Dispatcher 2 after probation and pay

Qualifications

• Experience with emergency communications systems and CAD
• Ability to monitor and relay information accurately under pressure
• Familiarity with MARCS radio system and LEADS-related procedures

Responsibilities

• Receive training and operate statewide CAD console and radio networks
• Serve as emergency contact and coordinate communications for law enforcement
• Operate teletype, telephone, LEADS and related equipment as needed
• Route caller inquiries to appropriate ODNR division and provide information
• Dispatch ODNR personnel and document communications accurately
