Job summary

Michigan State University Extension is seeking a Natural Resources Communications Manager to lead storytelling and outreach for the program portfolio, elevating visibility and stakeholder awareness of natural resources work across the state.

You will develop and implement communication strategies, coordinate with MSU and partner teams, and translate complex environmental topics into engaging content for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Journalism, Telecommunications, or Public Relations.
• 1–3 years of related public/media relations and publication production experience; social media content management.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and produce online communications, media content, and publications to inform the public and University issues.
• Coordinate with editors, designers, and printers; manage projects and timelines.
• Contribute to social media strategies, campaigns, and reporting.
