Field Service Technician Helper

Responsibilities

Assist Service Technicians by accompanying skilled personnel in designated areas, working rotating shifts under variable conditions on customer premises. Provide physical support for service work and street leak relief. Act as a contact for delivery service between stations, and deliver parts and materials to various locations. This role requires physical and mental effort, with activities impacting public safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Mechanical and/or construction background (e.g., pipe fitter, plumber's helper)
• Experience in the gas/utilities industry is a plus
• Experience in residential customer service or similar work (e.g., carpentry, cable techs, plumbing helpers)
• Ability to work in inclement weather, including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Ability to pass manual and computer-based pre-employment testing
• Strong communication skills

This position is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing, including federal testing requirements for substances such as marijuana.
