Aurex Group in Houston is seeking a Natural Gas Originator to advance our trading footprint in the Midcontinent region. The role focuses on developing relationships with utilities, generators, producers, and marketers and on structuring both physical and financial gas transactions.

You will collaborate with trading, commercial, and risk teams, travel to meet clients, and shape long-term supply and off-take agreements. A track record of deal origination and a strong network are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in natural gas origination, business development, or related roles within an energy marketing or trading environment.
• Demonstrated experience structuring transactions, including physical and financial deals, including pipeline gas and transportation.
• Strong network of industry contacts.
• Self-starter with a high level of initiative and the ability to independently generate new business opportunities.

We are working with a client looking to hire a Natural Gas Originator in Houston. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with established relationships within the Midcontinent region and a proven track record of structuring various natural gas transactions, including AMAs and transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key natural gas market participants, including utilities, power generators, and industrials, municipalities, producers, and other marketers
• Drive business development by leveraging industry contacts and exploring new market opportunities, including, pipelines, LNG, storage, and infrastructure.
• Develop and execute strategies to secure long-term natural gas supply and off-take agreements.
• Collaborate closely with internal trading, commercial, and risk management teams to structure competitive and profitable transactions.
• Travel to meet clients and attend industry events to strengthen relationships and promote business opportunities.
