Job summary

Primoris Distribution Services, Inc is hiring Natural Gas Laborers in Fort Pierce, FL to assist with installation, maintenance and repair of natural gas distribution systems. This is an entry-level, physically demanding position supporting skilled tradespeople in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities include trenching, pipe installation, loading materials, safety compliance, and teamwork. A valid driver's license is required and pre-employment drug screening applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in construction, labor, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, dry).
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks including digging trenches, shoveling, backfilling, and operating hand tools.
• Assist in the installation of natural gas pipelines, services, and related infrastructure.
• Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Spot for heavy equipment operators to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Perform flagging duties to control traffic around work sites.
• Assist with pipe fusion, fitting, and testing procedures as directed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Operate small power tools and equipment under supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
