Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff seeks a Foreign Affairs Specialist (GS-0130-15) to assist in formulating Joint Staff positions across national security issues. You will support the CJCS with expert analysis, briefings, and strategic recommendations coordinated with interagency partners.

Responsibilities include preparing correspondence with NSC, DOS, OSD, and NATO, reviewing NATO documents to reflect U.S.

Qualifications

• You must have at least a major in political science or related field with international focus.
• Education and experience must support policy development and joint staff guidance on NATO issues.
• Graduate study or additional courses in international relations strengthen eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Support the CJCS by providing expert policy advice, briefings, and analyses on NATO-related issues.
• Prepare and coordinate formal correspondence with NSC, DOS, OSD, and NATO counterparts.
• Review draft NATO documents to reflect U.S. equities and Joint Staff policy.
