Job summary

Mercor seeks meticulous Korean annotators to build training data for Korean documents and related scripts. You will identify and bound every meaningful region, assign types and reading order, and ensure precise Hangul transcription with thorough quality checks.

Open tasks are Korean-language, legible, and free of personal data. A second Korean expert will review all work to uphold strict accuracy standards across multi-column layouts and handwriting-heavy pages.

Qualifications

• Native Korean speaker with Hangul fluency
• Experience in bilingual transcription/editorial work preferred
• Character-level accuracy required for transcription

Responsibilities

• Open and check a task, ensuring the page is Korean, legible, with no personal details.
• Annotate structure by bounding each meaningful region with type and reading order.
• Record relationships linking regions to the parent figure/table.
• Transcribe faithfully in Hangul, flagging unreadable regions.
• Capture language, document type, source, dimensions, and handwriting/table flags.
• Undergo second-expert review for every task.
