Job summary

Weiss Services LLC is seeking a Traveling Commercial Renovation Superintendent to oversee retail renovation projects across the U.S. This is a full-time, traveling role requiring hands-on leadership, site coordination, and strict schedule adherence.

You’ll supervise subcontractors, manage budgets and timelines, interpret blueprints, and coordinate with property managers while minimizing disruptions in active stores. Nationwide travel (5–16 weeks per assignment) and per diem support are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a superintendent or similar in retail construction.
• Experience in commercial renovation and remodel with existing construction.
• Ability to self-perform all scopes of work excluding MEP trades.
• Understanding permitting, blueprints, and retail build‑out logistics.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (Procore preferred).
• Willingness to travel nationwide and stay on-site during projects.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be willing to work overnights.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure safety, on-time, on-spec.
• Manage project schedules, logs, safety docs, and quality control with Procore.
• Interpret blueprints and floor plans per local codes.
• Coordinate with store/property managers and owners’ reps.
• Maintain construction timelines to meet deadlines.
• Minimize disruptions in active retail environments.
• Conduct site inspections, oversee permitting, ensure ordinances compliance.
• Track budgets, change orders, project costs.
• Attend meetings, generate field reports, evaluate subcontractors.
• Travel out-of-state for 5–16 weeks at a time.
