Job summary

AE2S seeks a Water Resources Practice Leader to guide the national practice across all U.S. locations, shaping strategy, technical excellence, and growth. The role emphasizes leading innovations in flood risk, drought planning, urban stormwater, and erosion control, with national impact.

The position requires strong leadership, client communication, and the ability to travel to support projects and pursuits nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of experience in water resources.
• 2+ years of leadership experience leading teams, initiatives, or practice areas.
• Demonstrated track record of technical excellence.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel periodically to support conferences and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, technical direction, and growth of AE2S’s Water Resources Practice nationwide.
• Set and drive the national vision for how we provide water resources services.
• Partner across regions to grow teams, capabilities, and market presence.
• Lead technical direction and elevate quality across all water resources projects.
• Identify emerging water resources trends, regulations, and innovations and turn them into strategy.
• Support major pursuits and build strong, lasting client relationships.
• Mentor and develop engineers and technical staff across all offices.
