The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights seeks a Voting Rights Fellow to advance federal voting rights policy and coalition work at the national level. You will identify advocacy opportunities, draft proposals, and coordinate with civil rights partners to promote free and fair elections across the country.

You will lead the Voting Rights Task Force, support coalition meetings, draft public materials, and engage with Executive and Legislative branches to drive policy priorities in a

Competenze

  • Draft policy and legislative proposals and review, analyze proposed legislation, regulations, and other policy proposals, and create relevant advocacy materials.
  • Engage in coordination with internal and external stakeholders, particularly in the civil rights community, and maintain relationships with national and state partners.
  • Serve as staff lead on the Voting Rights Task Force and support coalition co-chairs’ execution of task force goals; help lead/staff other voting rights- or free-and-fair-elections-related coalition meetings.
  • Support partners in the development and creation of materials and tools as required.
  • Serve as a lead non-litigation advocate to advance The Leadership Conference’s strategic priorities, including public speaking engagements and drafting press/public education materials.
  • Engage in cultivating and maintaining relationships across the Executive and Legislative branches to advance policy objectives.
