Job summary

The Traveling Superintendent leads field construction operations on ground-up multifamily or high-rise projects, overseeing the site from start to finish to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. This travel-heavy role supports projects nationally — current work is primarily located in Virginia — ideal for a superintendent who welcomes new markets and sizable builds.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent leading ground-up multifamily projects start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, means and methods, and trade coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall supervision of field construction, including planning, coordination, sequencing, and scheduling.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and trades to maintain schedule and quality.
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment per company and OSHA standards.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and drive recovery strategies as needed.
• Perform quality control walks and manage punch lists through each phase of construction.
• Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and officials.
• Maintain daily logs, material tracking, and project documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and engineers.
