Job summary

McGough Construction seeks a Superintendent for the National Travel – Advanced Technology team, delivering complex data center and mission-critical projects across the United States. The role may include multiple levels (Assistant, Superintendent, Senior) with responsibilities varying by experience, from supporting field operations to leading all field activities on large projects.

Travel is a core element; overnight and extended trips are required as projects dictate, with assignments

Qualifications

• Experience supervising field staff, Assistant Superintendents, and subcontractors on large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated leadership and continuous improvement experience.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and/or comparable construction technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Two- or four-year degree in construction or related field.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction planning, site logistics, schedules, safety planning and site requirements.
• Coordinate field requirements with Project Management and other stakeholders.
• Participate in subcontractor selection, procurement planning, RFIs and material coordination.
• Plan staffing, resources, equipment, and logistics for project execution.
• Lead daily field operations, coordination of staff and subcontractors.
• Lead pull planning, weekly work planning, and Lean construction activities.
• Monitor field production and address schedule risks.
• Ensure safety, quality and project requirements; maintain client relations.
• Mentor and develop field staff and lead field leadership meetings.
