Job summary

HDR is seeking a Geotechnical Business Class Lead for national engagement in deep foundation design and construction. The role represents HDR’s capabilities to clients and guides staff to support HDR’s growth.

You will identify, hire, and manage geotechnical professionals, lead project teams, develop proposals, and participate in strategic planning while promoting HDR’s quality standards and practice excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with geotechnical focus.
• 10+ years in geotechnical design/leadership.
• Professional Engineer registration required.
• Experience leading diverse teams.
• Strong client and proposal development.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead geotechnical staff on deep foundation projects.
• Engage delivery projects to provide design expertise and resource reviews.
• Hire, train, and mentor geotechnical personnel.
• Promote HDR geotechnical practice and form partnerships.
• Contribute to standards, QA/QC and best practices.”
• Participate in strategic planning and project management.
• Develop marketing plans, proposals, and client interviews.
• Collaborate with the geotechnical services director to align strategy.
• Support national training and DOT program engagement.
