Job summary

HDR seeks a Geotechnical Business Class Lead to guide national engagement in deep foundation design and construction. The role involves representing HDR geotechnical capabilities to clients, identifying and managing staff, and driving strategic direction and market growth.

The candidate will coordinate technical competencies, lead projects, mentor personnel, and develop proposals while maintaining HDR’s standards of quality and client focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Professional Engineering registration (PE) preferred or obtainable within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and improve geotechnical competencies for deep foundation projects.
• Engage in alternate delivery projects to provide geotechnical design expertise.
• Select, train, and mentor geotechnical personnel.
• Promote HDR geotechnical practice and establish partnerships.
• Contribute to quality assurance and control reviews.
• Participate in strategic planning for geotechnical activities.
• Manage projects and lead geotechnical task groups as needed.
• Develop marketing plans and proposals for client engagements.
• Collaborate with HDR leadership to align geotechnical strategies.
