Job summary

Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist in Washington, DC for a Regular Full-Time role. The position supports administration and management of the Personnel Security Program and HSPD12 efforts.

The role involves evaluating background checks, ensuring proper documentation, and adhering to federal directives. Candidates should have 2+ years in personnel security and completion of an OPM-accredited course.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of executive orders and federal personnel/security regulations.
• Ability to apply CFR and OPM adjudicative guidelines to make suitability determinations.
• Knowledge of HSPD-12 requirements and Personal Identification Verification issues.
• Two or more years of experience performing administrative support in personnel security functions.
• Completion of an OPM accredited course.
• Must be able to multitask and be attentive to details.

Responsibilities

• Validate and maintain position sensitivity levels annually.
• Ensure criminal history checks are completed and appropriately documented.
• Properly store PSS data in approved locations.
• Initiate name checks on personnel.
• Validate personnel security paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Review security packages to determine if additional information is needed.
• Transmit completed packages to the appropriate agency.
