Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a highly organized Program Manager, National Security Policy Operations to join the Global Affairs team. This hands-on role runs planning, coordination, and execution systems enabling the team to operate effectively and deliver policy and technical updates.

You will translate priorities into executable plans, manage programs and workstreams, and provide clear visibility into commitments, risks, and dependencies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in program or policy operations management.
• Experience coordinating complex cross-functional work.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Run portfolio planning, milestones, dependencies, risks, and progress reporting.
• Create lightweight operating systems for planning, meetings, and tracking.
• Own program metrics and dashboards for updates to policy leaders.
• Coordinate policy deliverables and external engagements from planning to follow-up.
• Manage contractors/consultants onboarding, scopes, invoices, and renewals.
• Coordinate across teams to manage dependencies and priorities.
• Improve operating model with feedback loops and lightweight tooling.
