Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Data Scientist to perform research-level analytics at a customer site in Bethesda, MD. The role advances ML, NLP, and data fusion for mission-focused big data analytics and national security objectives.

You will work with a research-focused team to analyze results, disseminate findings, and contribute to publications with actionable intelligence insights, collaborating across analysts, engineers, and researchers on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• BS in a quantitative or analytical field with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in data science, analytics, or quantitative intelligence analysis.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, and SQL.
• Experience working with hybrid teams to deploy complex analytics.
• Past data science or research in big data that doesn't fit in memory.
• Active learning and creative problem solving.
• Ability to assess software or data acquisition requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize a Data Science platform with a team.
• Analyze big data across national security, cybersecurity, BI, social media, and more.
• Support multiple projects and deliver findings to non-technical audiences.
• Identify novel data sources to improve predictive algorithms.
• Leverage research design and quantitative methods and engage with customers.
