Job summary

KBR is seeking an Operations Research Analyst/Data Scientist to join our team at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. Successful candidates will develop and implement mathematical and statistical models to solve problems across multiple domains, with space domain experience preferred.

The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI, a Master’s degree in a technical field, 7+ years of experience, and strong Python skills for data analysis and decision-support

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in operations research, data science, or related technical field
• 7+ years of experience
• Proficiency with Python
• Experience developing and implementing mathematical and statistical models
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• High motivation, creativity and flexibility in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and communicate results
• Develop and implement mathematical and statistical models across domains
• Coordinate with senior managers to identify and solve problems
• Apply modern data science techniques (supervised/unsupervised learning) to datasets
• Optimize tasks using computer automation
• Work with government and contract teams
